We love her. We hate her. We love to hate her. We hate to love her. Well, as of publication, the Wendy Williams Show is no more. The icon, the MOMENT Wendy has left our daytime television screens (for now at least).
In what was a tumultuous and frankly confusing end to the show and the host’s career, the Wendy Williams Show has officially ended as of Friday. The last show didn’t even include her, just a montage to honor the host. There are currently claims she’s being held in a conservator-ship of sorts against her will and we’re hoping she’ll be okay.
In the meantime, enjoy some favorite moments of mine (and hopefully OURS) from the years. Of course starting with the renaming of DULA PEEP.
BREAK MY SOUL. And that she did. A dance HIT to get the summer going. We needed a summer song and who but Beyoncé to give it to us. Singing about quitting our 9 to 5s. Getting outSIDE. She said touch grass today girls <3.
Break My Soul aside, the surprise release and full album announcement truly had a grip on us as a culture this past week. Renaissance Part 1 will be out July 29th and we already have sold out merch, rumors turning, and Drake panic releasing a mediocre album.
Anyways, I’m excited for the rebirth of culture to occur on July 29th just like everyone else, but until then, stream BREAK MY SOUL and also enjoy these tweets (please god no Jay-Z collab).
The Barbie Movie has RYAN GOSLING AS KEN
I am,,,inexplicably so excited for this movie. LIVE ACTION BARBIE??? Greta Gerwig DIRECTING??? I literally thought it was a prank when Dua Lipa was rumored to be starring in the film. Now, July 21st, 2023 cannot come soon enough.
Basically, recent developments have shown a yassified Ryan Gosling take center stage as Ken. Look I’m not a Ryan girl, but for the sake of this movie, I’ve never been more excited. No movie has mattered this much to me since the Scooby Doo live action.
